About Us

The name ``Efes`` is derived from the ancient city of Ephesus, near modern-day Selcuk in the coastal region of Izmir. In its day, Ephesus was famous for the nearby Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was also home to Lady of Ephesus, whose figure is the inspiration behind our logo.

Our first restaurant opened in central London in 1974. Since then, our family-run business has continued to place value in the quality of our ingredients and remain dedicated to bringing the finest flavours of Turkey to your plate.

It was such a nice experience to have dinner in Efes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was cooked exactly as we wanted it to be cooked and the price was very reasonable. I would 100% recommend Efes.

We went for dinner on Sunday. We ordered for 4 people and we all loved the food very much. The flavor is so good. It is not like the Turkish restaurants I have tried before, we will definitely come here again.

Big portions, delicious food, and always friendly staff. I have been coming to this place for years. One of the oldest Turkish restaurants I know. I think the fact that they have always managed to keep the same quality should be appreciated.
